The Knife Sharpening Technician will be responsible for sharpening, repairing, and maintaining knives and other cutting tools using both manual and machine sharpening techniques. Certificate or experience in metalwork, tool maintenance, or a related technical field (preferred but not mandatory).
Proven experience in knife sharpening, blade repair, or similar craft work is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Basic understanding of blade angles, metals, and sharpening tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sharpen, polish, and repair knives and cutting tools to professional standards.
Operate sharpening machines, stones, and other relevant tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect blades before and after sharpening to ensure precision and quality.
Maintain sharpening equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
Track customer orders, handle tools with care, and meet agreed turnaround times.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining maintenance tips and safe handling.
Assist in the packaging and delivery process where applicable.
